Why do my indicators flash rapidly? (Pontiac Montana)?

I swapped out a blown indicator bulb on my 2003 Pontiac Montana.
Now when I indicate, the bulbs on that side of the car flash at double speed. The other side is normal.
What's the cause?

There is a blown bulb on that side. Turn on the normal side, walk around the car and notice how many bulbs on back and front and side are operating. Now do the other side there is a bulb on that side that is not flashing!

BRILLIANT!!!!

Was the bulb you replaced a dual filament? If you put in a single filament bulb it will light up for the parking lamp but not the turn signal. Or you have another bulb out somewhere.

Turn on the parking lights and walk around the vehicle if all is good turn on the hazard lights and make sure all of them flash.
