Why is that the bird on the Trans Am, some point to the passenger side and others to...

...the driver.? I have a 1980 S.E. Trans Am and it points to the passenger side however from the looks of the after market replacement birds they point to the drivers side

Probably lazy assembly line workers didn't bother to check if the appliqué was laid on correctly.

I'm almost positive the original bird looks to the drivers side, however most people arent keen enough to notice this slight difference.
