Why would a 1999 pontiac montana drive start fine...

...then die out? I had no problems before but when i came out of grocery store i started it and it stared just fine , but after idling for a few seconds it dies out.
 
Low engine oil?

GM has a low oil pressure sensor the kills the engine in the event of oil pressure loss.

Otherwise, it could be ignition module, crank sensor, vacuum leak, loose battery connection, bad fuel pum, plugged fuel filter, I could go on and on.
