my drivers side window works but its very slow and only goes up so far and then i have to waiit for awhile to keep rolling it up about a half an inch every few minutes. I think the motor has died because I've heard this is a common problem in firebird, trans am, camaro. Anyone know how much this would cost to fix or if there might be another problem like the fuse?

Its either the relay switch, or the motor, pull the door apart, and pop out the motor, its easy, not that complicated at all, try to do it with the window up if you can, that way the glass is out of the way, just make sure once you pull the motor, you dont drop the glass.

On the newer gm cars they have a motor with a seperate regulator, I am not sure about your car but my 2001 tahoe had the same problem and it was the regulator. Good luck.

finally got to the dealership and the guy said it was the motor and regulator and said it would be $450! i was just like yea ok. so im not sure if they are seperate but im looking at motors and just probably going to have someone else around town install it for me because that is just way too much. does anyone know if they are seperate parts?

in mine (1998 firebird) they are seperate. I bought two window motors from advanced auto parts and installed them myself and they have worked fine for 3 years. I think both motors together came out to be around $100...
