Hi, I need some help on how to disassemble the wiper blade assembly ('69 LeMans with recessed wipers). I'm trying to replace the articulating pin in the housing (I'm pointing to it in one photo).

My problem is - I can't figure how to detach the housing from the crank arms. One arm that is attached to the housing seems to be attached to the other wiper, which prevents me from removing it.

There's not much room in there, and it's hard to see. I have the Pontiac service manual, but the diagrams aren't detailed enough.

How do I get the housing out (do I need to detach the right wiper housing, and slide everything out)? Thanks in advance.

from everything I see in the Chasis and Body Illustration catalog from April 1983 the housing was not serviced as a separate part from the linkage which is why the service manual gives no detail on separating them.

Thanks for the quick reply. It looks like I'll have to disconnect the linkage on the right wiper too, and try to pull out the entire assembly.
