My wipers have a 70deg sweep? They are not horizontal when off and not vertical at full sweep. I took motor assy out to inspect and motor rotates 360 of course and all bushings are tight. it is completely silent when running. Been told my arms are not bolted to shafts correctly. Well, then, if they were too high at close, then they would sweep off windshield. But that is not the issue. Any ideas?

the torrent looks like it is made with tinker toys. 1 center rotating arm and a left and right rod to each arm pivot position. There is no adjustment of any kind. Only thing I read about is bushing wear. I went to junkyard today and looked at 2 different torrents. Identical to mine. $6 for transmission but $25 with trans/motor. And the motor does not come off technically. It falls apart if you try to remove motor. Grr,

yes, 80%are 2010 and up. Mine is 07. It has 3” center arm that spins on motor and the left and right rods attach to the end of arm. Very similar to Mazda 6 from 2005 era. Newer rigs use 1 rod from center motor arm to 1 wiper and then a long rod from left pivot to right pivot. Like the front end of a solid axle pickup.
I adjusted arms so they are horizontal. full Sweep is at 75 deg approx? Just about in line of sight. My wife is short so it may not bother her. I could take off plastic wiper cowl pierce in my 2nd equinox. For giggles. Just to look at things.
Well, I did lay both assys side by side. Measured everything. Motor crank arm. Wiper arms. Rod lengths. Identical. I know how the equinox travels. From full flat/horizontal when off to almost vertical at full sweep. I cannot verify that is how torrent should sweep. Since I only have my torrent to go by. Maybe torrent has 75 deg sweep and that’s normal?

Strange that the linkage would be the same but not the sweep. Nothing appears worn out on the Torrent, bushings, etc.?
