Below is a link to a 1963 Catalina battery cable.
The positive cable does not consist of two cables.
I believe somebody replaced the original cable with what you currently see.
None of those wires look factory original.
In 1963 that plastic conduit was not used.
You will have to trace the wires to see what their function is.
Did someone add an alarm system or some other modification to the car?
Looking on line all the original cars seem to have it, but I am not sure what it is. I will ask the 63 Pontiac expert I know and see if he knows what it is called.
Thanks but in the first picture of this thread there is no sign of the relay unless the OP removed the cover?
