Won't go into gear, please help

i have a 1984 fiero with a 2.5 and 4 speed manual. the other day i was driving it and i came to a stop sign. it didnt move from there. i can physically shift it into all the gears, but when i let out the clutch nothing happens. i watched the transmission and the linkage piece on top is moving when the shifter is moving. so i know it either has to be something inside the tranny or something with the clutch. i pulled the car home without pushing in the clutch pedal and could smell a little clutch when i got home. everything seems to be working it just wont go into gear when i let out the clutch. i looked into it a little and read something about a clutch fork bushing. any advice would be great on what might be wrong. thanks a lot

It sounds like you just need a new clutch. It goes into gear, But the clutch won't engage. Probably wore the clutch pad off.
