Wont run good in closed loop

Have a 98 sunfire 2.4. Runs good till it warms up and goes into closed loop mode. Gives a tps voltage low code.Replaced it,still gets same code. pull wire off temp sensor runs good,put it back on runs crappy. Took to mech he charged 300 to replace plugs and coils,but when you drive it far enough to go into closed loop it runs bad again.So what is in the curcuit when its closed thats not in it when its open.Mech gave up now its running with temp sensor disconnected. Help

Probally the temp senser is grounding out causing the TPS to lose voltage.

This should be in the "Sunfire " forum anyway

checked all the grounds today,they were in bad shape,now im only getting a temp sensor code,go by a new one it has two wires,mine only has one. Whats up? Posted it under sunfire,sorry about that.
