Would this make my Firebird not

start? Hey its a 91 Firebird TBI 5.0 V8. Coolant temp sensor is bad according to scan I did on engine, would this make the car not start? It stopped starting

Not aware of any way in which that particular sensor fault would prevent starting, especially for your model year. Suggest to start with the basics - verify fuel and spark.

Just to clarify - the engine turns over, but will not light off?

The sensor will cause the fuel system to flood the plugs out which WILL make it not start as I posted before replace the plugs and the sensor ...
