...Toyota Rav4? I will be driving round trip 50 miles daily to work ,in all kinds of weather including ice and snow. Anyone have opionion on one or both of these?
If your driving that far, the rav 4 is the way to go.
The toyota rav4 is known for its cool design, and its super reliability ratings. The new model is pretty attractive, and all the controls are within reach. Plus, the rav4 has better gas mileage, meaning that you'll be paying less for gas then you would on the Pontiac.
The Pontiac may be a stylish choice that cost a few grand less, but in the long run, it'll cost you more. First off, GM is known for its unreliability and cheap products in the cars. My friend had a 2006 Pontiac Vibe, and that thing blew its tranny out the first week she had it. With that experience, i chose to stay away from GM when i bought my car.
Also, look into the honda CRV and the Toyota Highlander. They are some really good SUVs that offer good gas mileage, cool features, and safety for a good trip every day.
