Well good enough or not it gets painted Cameo tomorrow or Thursday. Will shoot the Doors jambs and underside of trunk. Then spray the rest..Hope it comes out OK..I have only painted 4 Cars before so hoping for the best..None turned out really awful.LOL

Pre paint pic. Either way it will be better than that awful crap that was on it..Have to pull the Bumpers yet today and finish up a couple small items..

Did not go real great. But the paint job looks OK..Just finished wet sanding and buffing today. Do not be too harsh..I am not kidding about this..I am legally blind,LOL

But it shines OK and looks good enough for a driver quality..Do not get much for a 300.00 paint job..So I am happy enough..Looks way better than before..

I even gave the tires a good coat,LOL Did not worry about them.. They are shot completely and will be replaced soon..Maybe the paint will seal them up..Thanks

Thanks, yes it will be driven alot in the good weather..Next is tires and finish the exhaust tail pipe out..Then some interior work yet..New trunk and door seals too.

Someone had some shag carpet in the Pontiac that was beautiful..But it had to go I guess. Was not going to spend 150.00 on molded carpet, so went and bought a black loop indoor outdoor piece of carpet for 12 Bucks at Menards... And spent about 5 Hours getting it shaped and glued in..Came out pretty decent..Have to make Door Panels now when I get the money to order the material..

Forgot, bottom pic is the beautiful shag Carpet I removed,LOL I also painted the dash and tops of the Doors.

Ordered new door and trunk werather seal today..They claim it will fit..Keeping my fingers crossed it will..Will let you know and post a pic if it installs OK..Thanks

Ok, been awhile since I updated anything. Does not seem to be alot of interest in this old Pontiac..But I will keep posting for you mels..LOL

Made door panels, Ordered rear seat upholstery, first time I think I have ever done any seat upholstery..New upholstery fit very nice after I put on new foam from the Hobby Lobby.

.I am happy how they came out and look. Keep in mind this is not a restoration..It is all stuff done with a budget in mind, to make a fun Driver Car..Few pics..

Monday it goes in for exhaust..Have new kick panels coming tomorrow..Then I need to find sun visors..Hate to pay 100.00 for repro..But it may be my only option.

I also have the new trunk and door jam seal installed, will not bore you with those pics..Look good though.

Will have it done just in time for Winter to roll in LOL.

Mels yes we already had a few inches the other day..I hate Winter,lol

Heres a pic with the top up. I have a new speedometer Cable coming. Will put that in this week or next week early. Other than that I getting close to what I will do and casn afford to do.. I need to order repro sun visors as soon as I can afford to.

Going to put in some new rubber around the wing windows yet. New Quarter glass rubber where the front window mates. And some new window weatherstrip..But that stuff will likely be a spring time job when the weather returns to good. But I am already going over my 2000.00 total budget investment, so that stuff may have to wait awhile..But it is a good, fun Driver Car for the relatively little monetary investment I have in it.. A lot of time, but it is something to do I guess. Thanks

Budget creep seems to be a common matter of fact when doing even the minimum of restoration on a car but it has come a long way from those first pictures. Hope you have a chance to enjoy it come spring time.
