Hi all I own a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire GT 2.4L engine with a 5 speed standard transmission.
* I have problems i believe with my master cylinder for my clutch as it will be hard to shift but if i bleed my clutch it will be perfect. When it starts acting up i can pump my clutch and it will make the shift easier for the mean time until i get a chance to bleed it.
* I believe its a symptom of my master cylinder maybe internally leaking? I dont notice a leak to my clutch reservoir when it starts getting hard to shift so which makes me believe it may be internal.
* My question is:
- Would this be a sign of a master cylinder failing?
- If so how would i go about replacing it? Would i have to pull the transmission?
- If not what would/could it be and how would i go about fixing it?
* Thanks for any help its starting to get annoying!
