I have the exact same issues!
I have a 2005 Montana SV6 Extended.
After a hard breaking situation in gridlock Toronto traffic on a hot summers day my traction control and ABS lights came on.
Later that day after getting to where i was going and shutting the vehicle down for an hour or so i restarted to go home and the lights were gone.
A few days later while driving they came on again.
Again they went away while turned off and did not return for another couple of days.
That time i took it in and had it scanned. The shop showed me the code as pass side front wheel bearing.
I authorized repair with AC DELCO parts and paid the 3 hundred and change.
One week later the lights were on again.
I returned to the shop and they scanned and this time it was the driver side wheel bearing. ( Keep in mind i saw the codes come up on their brand new very expensive
scan tool)
Again i authorized repairs.
Within a few days the lights were back and the code reverted back to the pass side front bearing. The shop tore out the harness as far back as they could go looking for wiring issues but could not identify an issue. I drove with the lights on for close to a year before taking it to 2 other shops to be scanned. All scans come up the same and refuse to replace the same bearings again.
Now, I can hear a humming/vibration coming from the driver side front while excellerating and turning right. Indicative of a wheel bearing.
How is it possible this vehicle is eating the bearings up?
Important to note..........Brakes and other suspension are in good shape and have been inspected.
There should have been a recall on this issue as i have heard of it numerous times but never heard a resolution.
I will be taking my van to a dealer to be examined soon and if there is no resolution then i will have to sell her and move on from GM products.
Edukator4life.........Any resolution?
