C1232 and vibration on right turn and high speeds

Here's my new contraption. I tried it many times and no movement. I even used a pry on the top part pushing on it with my foot while pulling on the jack. But reading your posts I'm thinking it"s not pulling the part straight so it won't come out. I'm going to have to try the drilling method. Then I could connect the jack to the center instead of wrapping the tow rope around it.

yeah unless it is aligned you will not get it out,

Well thanks to your help it came out with my contraption. Now I have new problem. The new shaft looks too short. What do you think. I attached four pictures for you to look at. But when I put the axle in and out the spine still turns. I'm sure it's fine but I'm being just over cautious I guess.

did you compare it to the old outer cv joint?

I am guessing once you tighten the axle nut down it will draw it in more remember the tripod bearings will move in and out of the joint housing some

I am glad you got it removed the rest is easy from here.

Took it out on the highway. No vibrations on right turns or at 78mph. Now to tackle the C1221 and C1225 codes. I'm an electronics guy so that will be the easy part. Thank you for so much help. There isn't enough people like you in the world.

No problem I am glad i could help. I am glad you fixed the problem I bet it feels good to solve the mystery.

Just wanted to give you an update. I received the hub with the speed sensor today and it worked great! The ABS code is gone and the van is driving smooth. Thank you again.

Hello everybody
I wish to share with you interesting information.
Cars Opel Sintra, Chevy Venture , Pontiac Montana, Oldsmobile Silhouette (1997-2004) are similar to the front suspension.
The front hub is identical. If the sensor does not work ABS:
- Buy a sensor ABShttp://www.ebay.de/itm/ABS-SENSOR-VORNE-LINKS-RECHTS-OPEL-SINTRA-96-99-CHEVROLET-TRANS-SPORT-97-01-/400757521390
- need to remove the hub

- Remove ABS sensor

- Install a new sensor to the hub

- To establish a hub
P.S. But, you can repair the sensor yourself
I will tell later.
Good luck !!!

Thanks for the information and pictures. ( nice post )

Impressive post that deserves its own thread. Thank you.

I'm very impressed with your posts too. They are clear and well done. I'm a beginner and I was able to follow the procedure. The arrows and the numbers really make a difference.
