Dangerous acceleration! Car accelerates for no reason

your map sensor is connected to your intake as a rubber hose coming from it there should be 3 wires connected to it when you replace it you need to disconnect the negative side to your battery put the new 1 and then reconnect the negative.. after that your engine light may come on if it does disconnect th?e battery again wait 30 minutes then reconnect

Thank you sir. So is it by the air box or the intake manifold? Guess I am having a hard time finding it. Also I hope the tps is easy to get off. Looks like just a few screws.

yes it should be on the intake manifold. but again I don't think your sensors are bad. but good luck anyways

I agree for the oil. But something is making it suddenly making it go from idle to hitting the rev limiter. You literally have to stand on the brakes or pop it into neutral to keep from killing anyone.

Got it. Replaced. Burnt up two cans of cleaner in the tb-intake and air box. Got most of the oil out and now the top of the motor and rings/valves are clean. Will put the tips in later today.
Thing is with the map sensor (that I can't believe this car has as that technology went out in the 80's) you can't know if it is bad. And that thing controls everything in some way. FYI the one I took out was covered in oil.
The tps may fix the car racing for no reason. Not sure. But I can't figure out what would make it do that. The car has to get air from someplace to do that. Not just more fuel from a bad tps. But with the throttle plate and cable not sticking I can't figure it out.

Oh and now the car needs new breaks because she has had to rise them through the city when it suddenly reces for no decernable reason.
