Hi,
My girlfriend's car is a 2005 Sunfire and it has several issues that have arisen in a short period of time. Therefore, I have questions for each:
First, the AC vent(s) make a rhythmic "clicking" sound every time the vehicle is turned on. It sounds like the vents are trying to close but can't. When I switch between the different setting (max, bi-level, heater, vent), the sound will stop temporarily (few seconds) then continue again. Does anybody know how to fix this, or what is wrong with it? Something stuck or broken?
Second, the gauges on the dash have all stopped working (besides car temp). First the gas gauge stop, then speedometer, then tachometer. For the gas gauge, it has turned back on itself, passed full, and back around to about 7 o clock. When it began acting up, sometimes it would work, sometimes it wouldn't. It is now frozen at position described and never works.
For the speedometer, it quit suddenly. I have noticed it to work temporarily, at start up, in cold weather. Once the car's temp rises, its ability to function slowly diminishes until it again remains at 0mph.
The last, and most recent to quit, is the tachometer. It also quit suddenly. I have not had a chance to see if it is also temperature dependent as well. Same question as above, does anybody know what is wrong, or how I can fix it?
Thanks for your time and suggestions.
Tony
