Headlights not working??!

i’m using the mm to diagnose shorts rn and have found 3 already within the harness leading towards the center of the front. none of which seem to be connected to the headlights, but i’ll fix them either way and see.

yes. when the vehicle is on and the headlights are activated
What voltage reading, 11.6 with engine running? What is the voltage reading on the other car? Are you sure these headlights don't have a minimum voltage requirement?

that’s a valid question. i will check on that..

okay i’m back. they are still working. and now i’m at the point of trying to identify and trace back shorted out wires. but of the ones i’ve found that are shorted out, it doesn’t seem like any of them have any correlation to the headlights and such. are there any wires with some hidden connections im unaware of?? like for instance wires that may seemingly lead to an entirely different system or function, that if you trace that wire back far enough, it could have some connection and or correlation to other systems unrelated?? the front headlight system and such in this case?

for instance. i have tested every single wire individually that is accessible behind the passenger side headlight. assuming that since it connects directly to the fuse box and also branches off towards the rest of the front bumper and other headlight that it might be the main bunch for said items. i tested them all like i said. and off them all, i found 3 shorts. there is a small twist combo of both a purple wire, as well as a white and black wire. and a combo of yellow wire and grey wire. of the two, the purple wire in that twist was shorted out. and the grey wire from the other. the 3rd one was a single solid yellow wire. SEPARATE from the combo twist i mentioned that included a grey wire. i have traced these wires all the way back to the passenger side instrument panel fuse box. there is a large harness clip in the panel, and the wires it connects to can be followed down to a big bunch of wrapped up wires that hides kinda under / behind the glove box, and then thru the hole in the floor and back up towards the fuse box and so on. so that’s where the wires i found are. and as far as i’m aware, none of them impact the headlights. i should mention, those shorted wires don’t actually lead into the fuse box on the side panel at all. they loop back around and go down the side of the wall and under the floor, and seemingly runs all the way towards the back?? that is to be determined tho, as i am writing this in real time and have yet to truly trace it fully towards the back.

I really don't understand what I can do to help you at this point you either have power and ground at the plug you connect to the headlights or you don't. Is this an aftermarket light assembly or something you modified from the stock unit?

and it is an aftermarket light, that i then further modified. again. they work. done and dealt with there. to be honest forget the headlights in particular at all, just think of the circuit itself. what could cause those areas up front to not turn on, even when plugged in??

Does the factory light work?
I also asked about voltage, should be 12+ with running engine.

dude, no lights work on the vehicle lmao. i keep saying that. the factory lights work, yes! but not on the gxp. however, like i said, they do on the base model i have parked right behind it.

What is the voltage at the plug that connects to the headlights in both cars?
