Yeah those lines even pre made ones can drive anyone nuts trying to get them in place without bending them.
Had I known you owned the pre made lines, I would have suggested is to take many pictures of the current factory install.
tape the or cover the ends of the new lines with rubber caps and tape the threads to prevent them from getting covered in dirt and grease.
some cars I would remove the fan, fuel line and fuel pump, remove the engine mount bolts raise the engine a few inches supporting it with blocks of wood on top of the mounts then loosen not remove the trans mount bolt and raise it up a little if necessary, once the two lines were loose from the transmission.
the key for a easy stress free installation is preparation and knowing when to walk away for a few minutes when needed.
These lines are fairly easy to do on a lift yet suck to do on the ground with floor jacks.
