Help - Sunfire 2003 alternator

Can anyone help me with replacing the alternator in a 2003 sunfire gt. It's not the same as any videos on youtube or in the haynes manual. I know the manual and vids say 97-2005 but my alternator is not nice and visible on top like the ones in the videos. PLEASE HELP with any instructions.

2.2l It's a GT

Thanks, it's Ecotech 2.2 and it is a 2003 gt if it matters. I am trying to learn and do it on my own. I already have the replacement. It's just the instructions don't match the cavalier/sunfire vids and guides. Any help would be awesome. t

Hi , thanks , i will try that. I was more concerned with how to get to it. I don't know if I go through the bottom or top and what do i need to remove to expose it. thanks , t

From what little I could find out, you may need to remove the upper radiator hose, the cover over the intake/TB, and the oil dipstick to get to it. Wish I could tell you more, but have never had to do this one myself.

if you read the link the second to last statement is "lower the vehicle", sounds like you change it from below.

thanks , i didn't see the "lower vehicle" part until you pointed it out. I will try both ways and see whats easier. Is there any tricks or things to beware of?
