• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... I am not a mechanic however I have been working on my own cars for many years. I hate paying the repair costs buts if I can help it. But it's starting to get so complicated I'm not sure I will have much choose. Plus it's getting harder to find a mechanic that just does want to continually charge you for repairs. I think they can always find something?

My daughter just bough her first car. A Pontiac 2008 G5 Base , 2 door coupe with 195,966 mile. She paid $1100 for it but we had to put a lot of money into it to get it one the road. Something I won't do again. Cheap cars are just money pits!

welcome to the forum. Alot of the issues with older cars depends upon how the prior owners treated it and it always pays to spend a few bucks to have the car checked before buying it.
