Is there a easy way to replace an oil pump on an 86 2.8 V6? I've researched some and see that the motor has to be detached and raised, starter, and possibly the AC compressor have to be moved. Anyone else found an easier way?
Also, does a $20 oil pump rebuild kit make sense or should I just pay the $40 bucks on a new complete pump? And can the old pickup tube and screen be used or should I spend $8 bucks for a new one as well?
