Hello!

After replacing the stepper motors in an 04 Bonneville's instrument cluster, the airbag light is on, and the traction control randomly disables itself, and doesn't allow itself to be turned back on.

I was wondering if I missed a step in the stepper motor replacement, as no codes are showing up on the OBDII scanner I have. I only replaced the motors themselves and repaired the original cluster, being told this avoids having to program the cluster.

Do you know if your scanner reads codes from those systems?
I assume you disconnected the battery while doing the work.

I'm not sure if my scanner is able to scan those codes (Ansel 310), and if I need to get a new scanner I'll do that too, and yes the battery was disconnected, I had another person come out there to triple check for me because I can be a space case sometimes.
