I have a detail in a 2005 pontiac grand prix with the gm 3800 series III. I discovered that the MAF sensor connector is broken, and when I turned on the car it turned on but indicated: "reduced engine power", I turned off the engine and when I turned it on again it marked "reduced engine power", I turned off the motor, and now when trying to turn it on it no longer turned on, it only starts but it no longer turns on.
My question is, could that bad connection of the Maf sensor have caused the problem of "reduced engine power" twice and that the computer has entered a "protection" mode and that's why it didn't let me start the engine anymore?
Will the problem be solved just by replacing that connection?
