Need some help from someone familiar with removing bumpers.
I followed the instructions in the service manual for removing the rear bumper fascia. I found the diagrams that accompany the instructions to be confusing. I couldn't figure out exactly how many screws and how many push pins there were.
I have the bumper loose on the ends at wheel housing and in the rear middle, but something directly below the tail lights (on each side) seems to still be holding the bumper. In other words, I can start to pull the bumper cover loose at the ends, and in the rear middle I can pull the top clear of the car and pull the bottom clear of the car, but I can't pull it lose from just below the tail lights.
I've looked at every way I can and still can't see what is holding the bumper on. Any ideas on what I'm missing?
Here's the text instructions from the manual.
The install instructions says (step 1) Attach rear fascia to impact bar, so maybe there is some type of catch that needs to be released during the removal.
