some pics of my 69 LeMans

do you have engine code? it would be a 2 or 3 letter code on the passenger side where the head meets the engine block.

how do you know the whole engine is from a 73 versus just the engine block? A 69 would have higher compression with it's original heads, which heads are on yours? You dont have a stock carburetor or intake. A dead stock 69 versus a dead stock 73 the 73 might get a hair more mileage but would be down on power.
 
what intake manifold is on the car, it looks pretty high or could just be the picture.
 
its the edelbrock performer rpm intake with a 650 cfm carb

did the previous owner give you any more information as to what has been done to this engine. The Performer RPM is a pretty aggressive intake for a stock 400
 
no he didnt. i know the car has great oil pressure, starts right up even in below frezzing weather. also has 3 in dual exhaust with flowmaster 40 Series Delta Flow mufflers
