A word to the wise! Buy a replacement from a GM dealer because they're specially hardened. Run of the mill hardware and auto parts stores carry soft grade 3 or 5 and Lowes carries a few stainless steel bolts which are "really" soft.
Most people think stainless is hard but that's not the case at all. It's "tough" to machine and doesn't work harden easily. It's soft on a hardness tester. Stainless bends easily.
