what kind and what size is the bolt holding the caliper onto a 2005 pontiac grand am?

if you have one missing take one off the opposite side and measure as i think '09 was last yr. for pontiac dealers, but one that was formerly a dealer can help.

A word to the wise! Buy a replacement from a GM dealer because they're specially hardened. Run of the mill hardware and auto parts stores carry soft grade 3 or 5 and Lowes carries a few stainless steel bolts which are "really" soft.

Most people think stainless is hard but that's not the case at all. It's "tough" to machine and doesn't work harden easily. It's soft on a hardness tester. Stainless bends easily.

its metric , take the bolt out on the other side get bolt to match
