I've got an original Arrowhead emblem brass factory die that I believe to be from the late 1950s. It measures 14 by 7 inches with the emblem being 12 inches high. I'm wondering if anyone knows what this die was used for. Possibly a dealer display piece to usher in the new Arrowhead emblem?

By its solid brass construct (40 lbs!), I would think it has to come from the '50s because they switched to zinc and zinc alloys for dies in the '60s.

Does anyone have any info on this piece? It would be greatly appreciated!

They still use brass alloys today for forming stainless. as it does not scratch.

Thanks for the info, jimys72!

Does anyone have any idea what this might have been used for? Maybe as a display piece? I haven't been able to find any actual emblems that would have been made from a die that large.
